Bury my sins 24
EPISODE 24
TITLE: “BURY MY SINS, NOT ME”
(AT THE LATE MR OLAMIDE COMPOUND)
For a while now, Grace has been observing her sister ( Loveth) actions all day long. Loveth appears unhappy and unfocused, always glancing at her phone contacts as if she's waiting for a call or needed to make one.
Whenever Grace asked if Loveth was okay, she would just say “yes or fine,” but her face told a different story. She's always cooped up in her room, looking exhausted all day.
"It's clear something is really bothering my sister," Grace pondered as she sat on the couch in their late father's apartment. "Why does she seem disappointed every time she gets a call from someone? Maybe there's a particular call she's waiting for and not the one she had been receiving.
“Considering how my sister loved to talk about Officer Paul,” Grace continued to think deeply, “she has suddenly stopped mentioning him and started preferring to stay indoors all day.”
“And speaking of Officer Paul," Grace wondered, "what if he's the reason behind my sister's moodiness? Did something happen between them?" Grace thought about it and decided to take matters into her own hands.
She picked up her phone and dialed Officer Paul's supposed number, not quite sure of what to say. Despite that, she believed they would hit it off after exchanging pleasantries.
"Good day, Officer Paul. Would you like to meet my sister?" Grace asked calmly over a phone call and her heart began racing. She realized she had dived into the conversation straight without knowing the root cause of the problem..
There was a brief silence before Officer Paul finally responded, "I'd love to see your sister," he said, "but I'm not sure if she's willing to see me.”"
"Don't worry about that," Grace said over the phone reassuringly. "Shall we set up a meeting for both of you? And have you sorted out any issues you're facing lately?"
“Sounds like a good idea then,” Officer Paul responded over the phone. “I will be at your house shortly,” he said and ended the call.
After a while, Paul arrives at Mr. Olamide's house and stands outside, knocking on the door of their apartment.
“Grace! Someone's at the door, go and get him.” Loveth called out to her younger sister. But Grace purposefully ignores her sister call, because she already knows it's Mr. Paul.”
When Loveth noticed Grace wasn't coming to get whoever was at the door, she got up from the couch, smoothed out her dress, and headed towards the door to see who was there.
As the door swung open, Officer Paul and Loveth stood facing each other. They hadn't spoken for days, and the silence between them was deafening.
Paul couldn't look loveth straight in the eyes, his hands were in his pockets, and he was glancing around shyly, darting his eyes from one place to another..
When he finally settled his eyes on Loveth's face, he opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out. He cleared his throat and tried again, managing only to say, "Hey."
"Hey," Loveth replied too, forgetting she hadn't let Mr. Paul into the house.
They stood there both in silence again, waiting for who to go first, just like they had been waiting for who to make the first call.
Finally, Mr. Paul managed to look at Loveth's face again, and just as he was about to say something, Loveth interrupted him unknowingly because she was about to say something to break off the silence at that moment too.
They both withdrew back their sentence, waiting in silence for the other person to continue what he was about to say.
Just then, Grace, who had intentionally set up the meeting between the two love birds, walked into the living room and called out to her elder sister, demanding to know if she had gone to get the person at the door.
That was the moment Loveth realized she had not allowed Paul inside the house since. She took her hands to adjust her hair backward before speaking.
“"Oh, I am very sorry, Mr. Paul. Please come inside,"Loveth said in a low tone, making way for him before shutting the door firmly behind him.
"I will just leave you both to talk things out," Grace said when she saw them both walk into the living room, and she went back into her room.

Pastor Solomon Ghost was wandering around Lagos since vanishing from Aminat's mansion, after Bosco explained the pastor's prophecy and why they shouldn't help him.
He was walking aimlessly on Lagos highway when an a*ccident suddenly occurred near his Ghost. Someone who had been running away from something darted into the r*oad, attempting to cross to the other side hurriedly when a sp*eeding c*ar heading towards him couldn't stop in time and r*an over him. The v*ehicles h-it the individual with full speed, and the driver slammed on the brake when it was too late.
The ghostly form of the individual got separated from the body immediately after the fatal hit, and his body lay there writhing in pain. His Ghost planned to return to it's body, hoping that after months of treatment, he could still have a chance to live since his body was badly injured after the hit...
But the ghost, after nearing its accidental body, stared at it sadly, having an afterthought about why his Ghost shouldn't return to the body anymore before vanishing away and abandoning it.
Civilians had gathered immediately after the accident, doing all they could to revive the body not knowing the ghost had left it already.
But just as the portals that had forcefully opened to send the ghost of that individual out immediately after the hit were about to close, Pastor Solomon Ghost entered into the abandoned body right on time to house it and become the new owner.
The body suddenly sneezed out immediately after Pastor Solomon's Ghost took over it, and People around, noticing that he had just sneezed now saw a glimmer of hope that the individual had a better chance to survive, so they quickly rushed him down to the nearest hospital for proper treatment.
(And now, it is Pastor Solomon Ghost housing a new body, and its top priority is to return to the Anglican Church after its body heals, to take out his evidence from the church and destroy the laptop before anyone could lay hold of it).
(AT AMINAT'S MANSION)
Aminat, after seeing the ghost of Chioma whom Bosco had sent outside, stares in surprise. She immediately instructs Gabriel to stop the car right in front of her mansion gate, and she alights.
She cautiously approaches Chioma Ghost from behind with eyes wide in surprise and speaks with a voice barely audible. "Chioma? Designer? What happened, how did you..?" Aminat asked, looking surprised.
Chioma's Ghost turned and was surprised to see Aminat too. She had no single idea that this was her house, and she had been inside Bosco lodge for a full day?
"I don't know how, Aminat," Chioma began to explain. "All I know is that I woke up dead, and I can't rest yet. Just found myself roaming with no one able to give me attention until I met Bosco, and now you.”
Oh... Chioma... I am so sorry, I had no single idea. It's been quite a while since I last saw you or your boss. I no longer take that route or even bother myself with trying to see new dress because I have my own pressing issue too.
Aminat gestured for Chioma Ghost to come inside, and the ghost followed her from behind.
Bosco, the gateman, after realizing that the ghost and her boss knew each other, immediately crossed her path without Aminat noticing it and he began to warn her.
“Listen and listen attentively,” Bosco warned. “I already told you my boss is the one helping Ghost, and congratulations because your Creator later brought you to meet with her. Because if it were for me, I would have wiped you with this rosary and made sure you vanish from this world.
“But that's not even my concern now,” Bosco continued. “As you will be telling madam Aminat the story of your life when you get inside, do not dare to skip the part of my 250k you spent on purchasing clothes. Include it in every bit and bit of your story because that money is important to me, the same way going to a ghost contest is important to you. Bosco added.
Chioma's Ghost hissed and walked through Bosco, appearing on the other side and making her way to Aminat mansion where she is already waiting for her to come in.
Gabriel, who had no single idea about this Ghost thing, drove into the parking lot. He alighted to meet Bosco with curiosity wide in his face.
“You and madam Aminat, I no longer understand you both and this Ghost of a thing.” Gabriel said. “By the way, is that the ghost you are talking about, I mean the Gen Z Ghost you mentioned earlier in the morning.
Bosco grinned and responded to Gabriel, "Oh, Gabriel, you've got to lay eyes on this Ghost." Bosco exclaimed, "She's so alluring and stunning, unlike any other Ghost we've encountered. It's heartbreaking that she's no longer with us; I genuinely felt for her," Bosco shared, his thoughts also drifting to his financial concerns.
