I couldnât sleep that night. I called my mummy in the lord and she offered that we do an agreement prayer in spirit to expose the devil working tirelessly in my husband.
The next day, he prepared Anu and took her to school, then left for work without saying a word to me. Meanwhile, I was in prayers for the salvation of his soul that was fast perishing.
That day was our prayer band meeting. After the meeting I shared my testimony of how God used our Daddy to reveal my husbandâs intentions of giving me a bread of sorrow and how it manifested within 24hrs. Everyone was clapping, tapping into my testimony with offering and praising God. Our leader advised me to share same testimony in church, which I agreed to.
I had earlier said I wonât bring my husband out like that, but with the confirmation of the prophesies of Godâs general in my life. My husband is sure going to hell.
I tabled my case, the persecutions I was facing from my husband and entire family since I gave my life to Chris and how my husband wants to give all his money to Eka and the revelation of our Daddy.
We entered into an intensive prayer calling onto the God of war to fight for me.
Our leader appointment mummy to lead the prayer session for me.
âSay my father my father⌠Let every evil spirit manipulating Bidemi, Tolaniâs husband die by fireâ
We repeated after her and began to pray.
âMy father my father, let the bees of your deliverance sting Bidemi right now wherever he isâ
We repeated and began to pray.
I felt special.
I felt honored.
Not once has anyone been prayed for in that manner before.
Mummy suggested that we should go to my house and pray. In her words
âOur sister Tolani may be dealing with a resident evil. As we were praying, the spirit of God revealed that we should go down to her house and deliver the environmentâ
Everyone bought the idea.
I further felt special.
I felt righteous to have found such favors.
By 3pm we were seated in my sitting room.
I wanted to serve them food, the food that Eka cooked before leaving. But mummy reminded me of daddyâs prophesy.
âDaddy said it, and I can feel it in my spirit that this whole environment have been captured by a strong man and woman of the underworld and every single eatable thing in this house have been infested with evil. Child of God this is persecution. Paul suffered it, peter did, James did and all other faithfuls did. Count yourself lucky to be going through persecution for Christ. Daughter of Zion, this is your time to stand firm and proclaim the word of God. By the time we finish here today, we will seize this place from the kingdom of darknessâ
âAmen!â We chorused.
They ordered me to remove every Catholic symbol in the sitting room and set them ablaze because itâs of the devil and all idolaters will meet in the pit of fire.
I went to look for a long stick to gather them in into a nylon and set aside to burn later after the prayers. I would never use my bare hands to touch those evil objects.
We started praying, about 16 of us. Blasting in tongues, rolling on the floor and making requests unto our maker.
âAs we were in prayer, the holy spirit ministered to me that you should write your husbandâs name in a plain white paper, also bring any of his clear pictures and keep at the center of this center tableâ mummy said after our third round of prayer.
I quickly provided all that was requested and placed on the appropriate position.
We began to pray making reference to the picture and name on the table
âStretch forth your hand towards this picture and shout Bidemi!!!â Mummy instructed
âBidemiâ we all shouted at the top of our voice
âBidemi ooooâ
âBidemi oooâ we responded, sweating.
âBidemi wherever you areâŚâ
âBidemi wherever you areâŚ!!â
âYes, I am hereâ my husband said to everyoneâs shock. Some of us even made attempts to run because we didnât hear him come in. It looked as though he appeared.
âWhat sort of nonsense is this? Who invited these mad people into my house?â He asked angrily
My husband isnât one to get angry and insult people like that. But what he did that day stuck in my memory like glueâŚ
Eka entered, carrying her bags. Apparently, Bidemi didnât go to work, he went in search of Eka. I didnât even expect him to be home by 4:35pm.
âWhat is this whore doing in my houseâ I blasted
âAnd what are these smelly fools doing in my houseâ
âBlood of Jesus! Holy ghost fire!â Mummy and other women were indistinctly saying.
âBidemi show some respect. Youâre standing in the presence of mummy, Gods oracle and wonderful people of Godâ
âGod will punish that your stupid mummy and your useless people of God now, wait Iâm comingâ he said and made to go into the room when mummy stopped him
âEhhh⌠My son!â Mummy began.
âShut up, who is your son. I am no son of a useless mother. Before she brought you people to my house, did you ask her if her husband was aware of it? Is this how you disrespect your own husband too? You people go around deceiving women with your fake prophesies through that ogogoro holy spirit of yours. But after today you will not try this nonsense with anyone againâ Bidemi angrily went into the room, I followed him.
âDevil is a liar, devil youâre a liar, youâre a deceiverâŚâ I could hear the women mutter these words
âBidemi what kind of embarrassment is this. Bidemi this is your opportunity to give your life to Christ and repentâ he completely ignored me and bent down to under the bed and drew out his cutlass. He then pushed me away and stormed out.
I forgot about God for a minute. I had never seen my husband that angry before. I ran after him. When I got to the sitting room, I saw mummy, prayer band leader and others squeezing themselves through the door, shouting and calling Jesus. One was calling amadioha.
Only few escaped with their bags. The rest of the bags and bibles were there on the sofa including mummyâs own.
I looked through the window and saw them scampering all over the compound in fear. Looking for escape route.
I felt embarrassed and surprised at the same time. I was disappointed that children of God who could move mountains spiritually, ran like chickens from a mortal man with just a knife. What happened to being afraid of he who can kill both the body and soul than he who can kill only the flesh. What happened to standing against adversities of the devil?
I caught a glimpse of Eka laughing. I walked up to her and landed her a resounding slap.
âThis is for coming back to my house which Iâm sure youâd leave very soon shamefullyâ I slapped her again. âAnd this is for laughing at Gods generalsâ her face turned red and a tear dropped. just then I noticed my husband coming.
âEka go into your roomâ Bidemi said looking at her pitifully.
Eka made to carry her bags
âLeave them. I will bring them to you. Just goâ Bidemi said and Eka left. I threw my face south in defence.
âYou see this nonsense you just did. Donât ever try it again. Any day you slap Eka for no reason, I will take it a bit more personal with you and trust me, you donât wanna see thatâ
âWhat? So youâd fight me because of Eka? Because of that dirty, smelly, illiterate Akwaibom girl?â
âSecondly, this church madness has to stop. If you bring those confused mad people close to my house again, I will k. ill each and everyone of them and go to prisonâ he said and went to carry Eka bags.
He has ignored talking about Eka again. But now, itâs clear, they are having an affair. Why couldnât he hire someone else and he categorically told me heâd fight me for Eka. Wow!
As he left with the box, I noticed the signature nylons from my favorite shopping mall and hair vendor. The items sold by these two vendors are usually really expensive.
So my husband took Eka to where I used to buy wears and bought her things Iâm sure are worth over 200k. Ahhh⌠Daddy is right, this is it, he has began to give his resources over to Eka.
I gathered all the bags and bibles and headed straight to church, to return them to their owners who ran for their lives.
When I got there some were still panting. Some werenât in the mood to talk, they just stared at me.
âSister Tolani, youâre living with the devil himselfâ our leader said. I ignored her and went to the parsonage to return mummyâs bag.
âMummy why did you people run like that? We could have stopped him with prayersâ
âFor we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against the rulers of the darkness of this world. And against the spiritual wickedness in the high places
Ephesians 6:12. Good night Tolaniâ she got up and went inside her room.
I sat there and thought about how my life was gradually crashing down.
I met Clara at the gate driving out. When she saw me, she wound down.
âGood evening Tolani. I came to see you, but I had to hurriedly leave for an emergency. Call me and tell me when youâd have chance, we need to talkâ she said from inside her car.
âI donât want to talk to you Clara. Light and darkness has nothing in common. Depart from me ye doer of iniquityâ I hissed and walked pass her. She drove off without a word.
Wait oo⌠Why is Clara frequenting my house? This is the third time in a week and I always walk in on her. Itâs as if my husband calls her to come over when Iâm not in.
Who knows how many times she had come and gone without me knowing.
And are you sure they ainât sleeping together too. Though Clara and Bidemi knew each other before me. Clara used to be my friend not Bidemiâs.
I would need to meet daddy tomorrow so heâd help me see whatâs between these two.
âThey have been having an affair even before you converted. Their affair is older than your marriage. That woman has never been your friend. She befriended you in other to use the opportunity and be sleeping with your husband without being suspected. Thatâs what the lord showed meâ daddy said after he prayed for me
My jaw dropped.
The spirit of God cannot lie. I began to think back⌠I remembered how Clara would always praise my husband and tell me that I hit a jackpot. How she always had more pictures of husband on her official page than myself and sheâd tell me itâs work. Ahhh⌠So this Bidemi has been a liar and a cheat from the beginning.
âMy daughter, alot is going on spiritual. God is showing me that, these two people will have a child together, soon. Your husband has always been in love with this woman and not you. Your husband is an evil man. A liar, a cheat, a ritualist and a dubious manâ
âRitualist?â I said jumping from my sit.
âYes. But thereâs no cause for alarm. He has not used you yet. But he will do one dayâ
That night I couldnât sleep. I was staring at Bidemi as he snored softly on the couch where he now sleeps because according to him, my prayers disturbs him from sleeping
Everything daddy said is true. If not; how did Bidemi get the money to buy this house, two cars? What is he doing? Is it now movie directing that I know many local directors at mushin who started movie job before him but, are still trekking.
He rented his office for over a million naira and he pays 760k for yearly rent, thereâs no how movie directing can give such money, he is indeed a ritualist.
âSo youâre sleeping with Clara tooâ I said to him as he made it to the door on his way out to work in the morning. It rang a bell in his brain, I could tell by the way he turned.
âWhat! Youâve finally gone kolo. Donât make me bundle you to Yabaleft, just donât make meâ he said calmly but seriously.
âRitualist. The lord has exposed youâ I threw in ire.
âBy the time I get back and youâre still in this state, you will be gone. Better get your acts togetherâ he said and left.
When I got to church that afternoon and told mummy that I confronted my husband and that I needed prayers for protection, she suggested I run and pray from afar.
âWhy did you confront him. Now that he knows you know what he does heâd come for you in other to seal the secret. Thatâs why he threatened that youâd be gone. You will be gone means he will k ill you. He will k ill you sister Tolaniâ
âWhat do I do now mummyâ I said visibly shaking.
âRun, and pray from afar. After his deliverance you can come back to him. But for now, run! I see him k illing you, as we were speaking now, God ministered to meâ
I ran home and sent Eka on a long but useless errand.
I used the opportunity to packed few of my important things into one box. I was shaking profusely as I packed and I also thanked God for giving me mummy and daddy.
After packing my stuff, off to my parents house I went. I just hope they will accept me. My only worry is Mami mi because she had warned me earlier that if Bidemi sends me home she will not accept me. But Iâm sure sheâd loosing up if she hears that Bidemi is a ritualist planning to k ill me.
I cannot come and d*ie.
Please join me thank this God for helping me escape death.
