" ONCE UPON A TIME"

" My Father, Is it possible for you to give me a soul today and take another?" Kennedy cried unto the Lord. Some hours earlier, He had been in a celebration mood over the life of Kemi, but here he was looking at the body of a dead   girl...

" Father, your Word makes us know that you are  the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not. Please bring this girl back to life,  for the sake of your name. Let your name be Glorified in this place where the devil has been glorified over and over!" Kennedy wept deeply...

He wanted God to raise this girl. He knew God could raise her but if He decided not to, no one would question him...

Kemi bowed her head. She thought about the joy she felt some hours back, Could God make her life good and turn his  back on Rachel... Rachel is the reason why she contacted this Joy. Why was she alive and Rachel had to died?

Rachel still laid dead.

"Through one man, sin and death came into the world, through one man , Redemption came. Through one, many were saved. Even though you have lost her, you have three other souls to save here!" Kennedy reasoned in his Spirit.

With that he stood up from beside Rachel and sat on the chair.

" Can't God wake her?" Kemi asked

" He can if He chooses, but what I think we all should concentrate on is ourselves for now. I am sure last night if someone had told her she would die in her sleep, she wouldn't have believed it. That's to tell us, that death  comes unannounced. My fear for her is where she will spend her eternity." Kennedy said

" Eternity? What's that?" Harry asked 

" After death, there is a life to be lived, and there are two places.It's either Hell or Heaven!" Kennedy said

" Where do you think she is going?" Harry asked.

He was still trying to make sense  out of what was happening.  He wanted to believe it was still a dream.

" If She heard about the gospel at any point in her life and never accepted Him, that will be hell, but if she Accepted Him before she died, that's her visa to heaven..." Kennedy said

" What if she never heard about Christ and no one ever preached to her, will she go to hell?" Kemi asked 

" Well, If she never heard the gospel , which I very much doubt,  God has placed our conscience in us as a witness, more like an inner police that teaches and accuses us .... So I am sure she had that... She will be judged with that!"

Harry knew there was no excuse, he had heard the gospel a  lot of times, so apart from his inner witness judging him, He would go to hell for not accepting Christ...

" I think I need Jesus!" Harry said...He knew things were about to get complicated for him. They had brought Rachel into Cotonou illegally and now she was dead. The Manager didn't look friendly. He sure was going to bring the police into this.

" I am not sure where my husband went..." Janet said

" But you can determine where you will go" Kennedy replied

The room became dead silent; each person in his or her world as Rachel's body laid lifeless ..

"Once upon a time, God created man. Man was to be a friend of God, God gave him a beautiful space for him and his wife to live in called The Garden of Eden. He gave them access to everything in the garden except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; they were told not to eat it, but they did and that brought a disconnect.

That incident that happened once upon a time affected and is still affecting mankind.  It brought about Sin and consequently Sin leads to death...

However, Once upon a time again, God released a Redemption plan. He knew through one Man; Adam, Sin came into the world. He decided to release another man to bring  Life to mankind... That is to say, I don't know what error you may have committed once upon a time,  I am here to tell you that God's Once upon a time Redemption work can negate that. That is why, it is important to accept His offer of salvation.  Are you going to receive this offer so that you can be sure of your eternity...?"

The dead body of Rachel in their midst was a scary reality of how death could come for any one of them unannounced. 

" I am Ready!" Joyce said

" I am Ready!" Harry said

Kamal argued within himself.

" Rogers didn't just say he wanted to die for someone else!" 

" You said What?" He asked

" Me...noooot himmm!" Rogers repeated

" Interesting! Who is he to you?" Kamal asked

" Pa...s...tor!" Rogers spat out hoping that would scare Kamal.

" Oh! Your Pastor... I see! So you are now a Christian... Wow! You destroyed my life and now you want to have yours saved...Nah! It can't work...."

" Bring me the Pastor!"
