PART 37

"ONCE UPON A TIME"

Kemi couldn't keep calm as the driver drove back to the hotel. She kept thanking the driver for giving her Jesus!

"Can I teach you a song?" Kennedy asked smiling...

" Yes please!"

" 🎵I've got Joy like a river

Joy Like a river

Joy Like a river in my soul🎵"

" Sounds nice, I like it" Kemi said

" This joy you are feeling is the Joy of Salvation, you allowed the living water into you and it has become a river in your soul" Kennedy explained

" Exactly how I feel, it feels like I am swimming in a river of Joy!" Kemi confirmed laughing heartily.

Harry was standing in front of a man. He had One thousand Naira with him while the man standing opposite him held Twenty Naira in his hand. 

" Give me that One thousand Naira with you, I will give you Ten thousand Naira."

Harry looked at the man's hand.

" But what you have in your hand is Twenty Naira"

" Take this first, by tomorrow I will give the rest" the man said

An exchange happened and immediately the man disappeared and devastatingly for Harry, the Twenty Naira in his hand disappeared as well... He had lost his One Thousand Naira and the Twenty Naira he had deceptively given.

" Sir! Where are you? " He screamed running helter skelter looking for the man, but he didn't catch sight of him at all... He broke down in tears knowing that he had been scammed.

Harry felt the tears on his pillow as he cuddled the pillow closer. The wetness against his cheek jerked him out of his sleep.

" What is...?" He said as he removed his head from the pillow in a rush. Almost immediately,  the dream about the exchanged money flashed through his mind...

He rose up to a sitting position as he thought about the meaning of the dream. He didn't know who the man was. 

" Is someone about to scam me?" Harry asked himself "God forbid! Does this have anything to do with the priest. Maybe I need to call him and tell him about the dream. Maybe the witches from my village wants to snatch this wealth I am about to get. No way!"

He picked up his phone, the clock read 1:02am. He dialed the priest's number, but there was no response.

" Do priests also sleep?" Harry said to himself smiling.

He dropped the phone hoping to get back to sleep, but a loud bang on his door startled him.

" Who...who is there?" He asked 

" It's me, Kemi..." Kemi replied 

" What does this Witch want at this time of the night? This woman must be a vampire, hope she is not looking for someone to sleep with? I reject evil, Let her Pass and go" Harry muttered under his breath

" What do you want? Because if it's what I may be suspecting, I am sorry, I will pass on it"

" Which is?" Kemi asked

" You know what I am talking about or why else would a woman be knocking at a man's hotel room door at midnight!" Harry said deliberately wanting to offend her, but instead of Kemi taking it as an offense,  she found it funny. The heavenly joy she had just contacted was too overwhelming for her to be offended by his earthly words.

" You are so funny, Mr Harry. I want you to meet someone. We don't have to visit the herbalist anymore. I met someone who has touched my life who I think can touch Rachel's life too. Who knows maybe yours too" Kemi said exuberantly.

That caught Harry's attention...

" Who is the person she has met, this must be the person trying to snatch Rachel from me. Rachel is my source of wealth...No way!" Harry rushed for the door, but the moment he opened the door, he didn't see Kemi alone. He saw Kemi and beside her was a Man, but what held his attention and filled him with fearful condemnation of himself,  was a Human like figure who shone so bright, the light was about to blind his eyes...

Harry fell back into the room in defense blocking his eyes from the light. 

" My eyes....Oh Sh*t, what did you bring to me?" Harry said curling up against the wall...

Kemi rushed into the room , followed by Kennedy. Kennedy shut the door behind him, thereby keeping the Light outside the room unknowing to Him...

" Who is he?" Harry asked

"He is a friend I met tonight!"

" He is a scammer, be careful of him, infact I just had a dream about him before you came knocking. He must be into Occultism, out there a blinding light was standing beside him..." Harry said in a rush

" You saw him in your dream?" Kemi asked

" Not his face, you know Occultic people hide their real faces when they appear in your dream." Harry said convincingly 

" No...I am not into Occulti..." Kennedy said trying to defend himself but as he opened his mouth, Harry saw Fire coming out of his mouth...

" See....Fire!" Harry ran to the farthest corner in the room...

" Where is Fire?" Kemi asked confused

" From his mouth... Can't you see it, or am I the only one seeing things"

" Well, I think Jesus manifest himself to people in different dimensions" Kennedy said

" You are a Jesus person? " Harry asked in disbelief 

Kennedy and Kemi nodded.. 

" Are you saying you are a Christian Christian?" Harry asked 

" I am a Christian, I don't know what you mean by Christian Christian!" Kennedy asked amused

" Bro, everyone is a Christian nowadays, but  Christian Christians are the real people who are genuine..." Harry said speaking from a place of confidence on the topic of knowing who  the genuine Christians are.

" Well, if that's how you understand it, then I am a Christian Christian" Kennedy said laughing trying to lighten up the atmosphere 

" Then why is the fire in your mouth scaring me and the light following you trying to blind me?" Harry asked

" Well, like I said earlier, Jesus has different dimensions to himself, He can be a Lamb and He can be a Lion, a friend and a foe, a repairer and a destroyer, Sweet and bitter.  The side He shows you is dependent on who you are to him..."

" I guess I am his enemy since he is trying to blind me and burn me" Harry said

" We can change that,  Sometimes God can chastise us so as to stop us from Sinning. This blinding light you just saw may be God's way of stopping you from doing something against His will..." Kennedy said

" What do you mean?" Harry asked swallowing hard. "Hope this Christian Christian man does not know what I am really going to do at the priest's place" He said silently to himself...

"There was a man in the Bible named Saul , he was on his way to Damascus to hurt some Christian Christians " Kennedy said laughing which had a way of easing Harry's mind. Kennedy continued " On his way, a light from heaven shone and stopped him. That light blinded him for three days.."

" Ha! I knew it, it must be the same light. The light almost blinded me, or am I going to be blind? "

" Well, I believe if you don't go where he doesn't want you to go,he won't blind your eyes" Kennedy said. Kennedy was feeling joyful and was in awe of God. He was amazed at how God was sorting out things by himself...

" Well, I guess it's Rachel's bad luck, I wanted to help her, but your Jesus doesn't want her bad luck to leave her"

" Are you sure you wanted to help her or yourself" Kennedy didn't know when those words poured out of his mouth

On the other hand, when he said those words, the fire resurfaced. To Harry, the question Kennedy asked him, came out with fire...

" I... You know what, I don't have to go the priest, he will come here and send your light away"

" Harry, we don't need the priest anymore. Jesus can help Rachel, He has helped me...I have not felt the joy I feel right now in years and it's because I asked Jesus to come into my life."

" Jesus came into your life and gave you joy, but he came into my room and he is about to inflict me with blindness and burn me with fire..Savage!" Harry said angrily

" Brother, that's because..." Kennedy was saying

" You know what? Get out of my room now! I am no longer interested in you or the cursed girl,  GET OUT!...."
