" ONCE UPON A TIME "

"Jesus can pick up your pieces and fix you up, so that through you, He can give Himself to many other to drinks from" Kennedy said

" How?" Kemi asked

" By surrendering to him, by inviting him into your life... Let me tell you a story from the Bible...It's about a woman who went to the well to get some water. She met Jesus already waiting. Jesus asked her for water..." Kennedy was saying before Kemi cut in...

" And she told him the Jews had nothing to do with Samaritans! I have heard the story before!" Kemi said

" Exactly, but please follow me to the main point ma'am." Kennedy pleaded

" Ok!"

" The woman felt worthless, reason being that the Jews saw the Samaritans as sinners, better still dogs. She felt she couldn't give Jesus water from her fetcher. This woman was thirsty ...she was yearning for a lot of things and Jesus knew what she needed was not Water at the Well, but His presence....Sister, by trying to help the young girl is not what will give you the peace you want..."

Those words struck her DEEP!

The man was right; she was thirsty for the water of  cleansing.  She wanted to be rid of the blood stains on her hands. She wanted to do good with Rachel's life as a way of filling the void in her...

" You can't go about doing good as a way of repenting of your sins, you don't need to go through that stress. All you need is to meet with Jesus and let him fill your emptiness with himself.The woman at well married 5 husbands to fill that void, but  after marrying each one she realizes, "he is not filling my void..."

Kemisola felt naked and exposed. 

" How did this man know about her husbands?  How she had lost two husbands and how she was already falling for the man she met few days ago; Rogers."  Kemi thought. 

Of a truth she felt an emptiness in her.

" No matter all the terrible things I have done in my past?" Kemi asked 

" The sin of the entire world put together is not too much for God to forgive. All He wants is for us to accept Christ as our Lord and Saviour "

" Tell me how to go about it before we get to the Police Station." Kemi said

" Ok, Can I park the vehicle for a few minutes to avoid distraction" Kennedy asked 

" Sure!"

Kennedy excitedly drove the car to a safe spot that was well lit.

He turned and faced her...

" Ma'am... Can you close your eyes and say this after this... My Heavenly Father, I come before you today asking that you forgive me of my sins. I accept your son Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour. I come out of darkness today into the KINGDOM of light of your dear Son,  Jesus Christ. Please Lord, help me to live this new life in Christ Jesus. Thank you Father...In Jesus name I pray." Kennedy said while Kemi repeated after  him.

Kemi felt something heavy leave her body, like a burden lifted off her...

" Wow...Something just left me...Like a big burden, like a big Load..." Kemi said out loud...

" That's the load of the guilt of sin... Guilt is an entity and the moment you asked Jesus into your life, guilt could not stay. At the Presence of the Lord, darkness and demons flee.

Kemi could not keep still, she felt joy bubbling from within her. Outburst of laughter came out of her mouth...

" Why am I so happy?" Kemi said as she got out of the vehicle. Her hands were stretched out sideways like a free bird taking a flight...

" I am so happy, I am so happy sir... I have never felt like this in years...Oh my goodness..." She said feeling  enraptured...

Kennedy was also fascinated looking at her. In all his years of ministering to people he had never seen anything like that...The woman who must be in her late forties suddenly looked and acted like a 25 year old lady as she turned in circles in joyful ecstasy...

" I am so happy... I feel free" Kemi said shouting at the top of her voice...

" You know what? Take me back to the hotel you picked me from. I don't need the police in this matter any more... If Jesus can do this to me, If He can take away my burden of guilt of almost 15 years, then He can help Rachel. We don't need to take her to the herbalist,  Right?" Kemi said excitedly...

Kennedy could literally touch the woman's faith. It was tangible. Jesus was real to her...

" You are going to help her too, right? And Janet as well..." Kemi pressured...

" I..." At that point Kennedy was tongue tied, he knew whatever was happening with her was not His doing. 

" I believe God who touched you like this,  will also give them the same experience..." Kennedy said very carefully with all smiles...

" Okay, let's go back to the hotel, you need to preach to the three of them as well..I want them to experience Jesus like I have experienced him now!" Kemi said laughing so happily 

Kennedy was all smiles but he was also dazed at the doings of the Lord...

" HolySpirit, What do we call this dimension?" Kennedy said to himself and almost Immediately, He heard the reply in his heart...

" THE JOY OF SALVATION"...

My mother married my husband Episode 6 I didn't have anywhere to sleep, I couldn't go back to the village. People will begin to ask questions, I sold all the jewelry Femi bought for me since we got married. I used the money to rent a small apartment, got a bed, and other little things I needed.  The compound wasn't much but I had to manage knowing it's my starting point in life. I never got rid of my son's clothes, I made sure they where still safe in his boxes.
