"ONCE UPON A TIME "

"Bring him out!" Kamal shouted in anger.

Pastor Greg couldn't convince him. He was not going to have inner peace until he had punished Rogers.  He left Pastor Greg in his room. He wanted to create the fear in Rogers that he had killed the Pastor. 

" If you think you are going to die the easy way, you are mad. I will punish you so hard you will beg me to kill you. I begged for my life, but you are going to beg for your death."

Pastor Greg heard the loud words...

" God! What am I doing here? I know I disobeyed you but you are a Merciful God. Will I die here just like this? Why am I here with this man? Or what is the revelation about the big lion that came in exchange of the small lion? Am I do die for this man?" Pastor Greg asked the Lord humbly 

Silence was the reply he got...

He knew whenever the Lord was silent, the next prayer to pray was the prayer of Mercy.

Pastor Greg laid flat on the floor weeping uncontrollably...

" Father, have Mercy upon  me , Have Mercy on Nnamdi's boss. I remember when I woke up in the morning, I heard " Nigbakan ri" which means "once upon a time". Now I understand why. Maybe if I had not allowed my pride take over me at the hospital, I may have ministered to Nnamdi's boss. He may have accepted Christ and repented of his Once upon a time wrongs. Father, please forgive him for all the evil he has done in the time past. Please heal the pained heart of Kamal. I know I am here because of this lost sheep. I know you want me to save his soul by all means  and since I couldn't reach him in the hospital; a convenient place, I had to follow him to this place..."

" Exactly! Greg, this inherited pride and anger has robbed you of so many things. You have been praying for financial breakthrough for years, but you always shut the door against such blessings because of your pride and anger...Do you remember, the rich woman I sent your way two years ago, who was having child bearing delay.  I sent her to you, I put the answer to her prayers in your hands. All you needed to do was to pray for her once and I would have released her baby to you...Thereafter, she would have made you her prophet. She would have changed your financial status.  She would have bought you a house and a car, but your pride robbed you of it..."

Pastor Greg heard the Lord audibly.  He remembered the woman the Lord was talking about.

 He had met the woman at a pharmacy. He had a severe headache for weeks, he had prayed about it and the Lord had directed him to go to the pharmacy to get some medicine for it. The Lord had mentioned the particular pharmacy.

On getting there, the Lord told him to meet with the woman who was trying to get a pregnancy test kit...The Lord told him to pray with her.

Pastor Greg remembered approaching the woman, but due to the way the woman stretched some money to him as a beggar before even giving him an opportunity to speak put him off. He got angry at the fact that the woman thought of him as a beggar and because of that he withdrew and said...

" I am not a beggar...I was supposed to bless you, but your insult has denied you of your blessing. Just because you have money, you think everyone who approaches you is begging you for money. No wonder you don't have a child" Pastor Greg remembered walking out of the pharmacy angry and pissed off.

" I am sorry Lord!" Pastor Greg said continuously

" That was a massive opportunity you lost, another servant of mine was the one who got the breakthrough. He was already blessed, yours was just an addition to what he already had. "

" I am sorry, Lord!"

" And Rogers again!...Don't you know that when you are the solution provider for men, their finances will flow towards you. Joseph enjoyed the wealth of Pharaoh because he interpreted his dream and proffered solution to him. Likewise, I wanted you to be Rogers' solution provider by leading him to Me, but your pride and anger has robbed you of that."

The voice of the Lord went Quiet again. Pastor Greg realised he had messed up again. He could tell that he had to win Rogers ' soul before he died, and somehow, he was begining to have a strong feeling that if he didn't get Rogers out of that forest, his life was going to go for it ..

Redemption knew she couldn't do anything on her own. In the demonic kingdom, she knew there were principles to how things had to  be done. 

" Definitely,  in this God way, there must be ways to how things are done." She said to herself.

She reasoned who to speak to. 

The Pastor!

There was a Pastor who was always preaching every morning on her street. She had tried shutting him down a few times but the fire in him could not be quenched.  He burned daily.

Redemption sat on the bed waiting for the day to break.

The police officers came back in.

" You all have to come with us to the police station. There are several offences you have committed. Firstly,  two of you came in illegally!" He said referring to Kemi and Janet.

" Which indicates you bribed your way in." The second officer said

" Also, one of you is dead.  An autopsy must be carried out to confirm the cause of death. As it is, you are in deep trouble..." The police officer said to them as they watched in horror.

Immediately, the police officer radioed the station for backup. He announced that there was a dead body involved.

Kennedy was also perplexed at the unfolding of events. 

He watched how he had been miraculously exempted from the case and the three others handcuffed on the spot, before leading them out of the room.

Kennedy could tell it was time to go or Was it not?
