FLASHBACK CONTINUES

Days turned into weeks and weeks into months but yet, James behavior and attitude towards Gloria worsened. He even went as far as rejecting her foods.
Different churches and prayer houses became Gloria’s second home but all her efforts proved abortive. James even left the house for her to stay and it took the intervention of their families to calm him down a bit.
One day, Gloria felt she’d had enough and that pushed her to seek help from a friend who inturn took her to a river goddess who promised to give her a child only on the condition that she would kill her husband and also offer the child up for initiation, a condition which Gloria accepted and damned the consequences out of desperation.
Months later, Gloria delivered a female child and named her Becky…

THE PRESENT
:
By now, mom was weeping profusely. “I was able to poison your father but a strong force kept stopping each time I tried poisoning your food with the substance they had given to me. I’m sorry my jewel, please forgive me,” she concluded and blew her nose into the handkerchief she held.
I quickly jumped down from the bed and squatted infront of her, then placed my hands on her shoulders, soothingly.
“It’s alright mom, I understand. None of this is your fault,” I pleaded and wiped her tears with my palm. “What happened to Ken?” I asked but Josh hissed.
“They actually know the truth,” my auntie said.
“And?”
“The vowed not to have anything to do with us anymore. Ken even disowned your mother,” Josh added.
“What nonsense,” I fumed and stood up. “This must end today, where’s your car key mom?”
“What do you need if for?” mom wanted to know.
“Just hand it over,” I demanded and she obligued.
Afte collecting the key from mom, I made to walk out but the pastor held my hand thus stopping me from moving further.
“We will fight them together,” he said.
“Fight who?” mom asked.
“The marine world must be destroyed today,” I said and with that walked out to avoid further interrogation.

OUTSIDE…

Since I couldn’t drive, I handed the key to the pastor. Minutes later, we were speeding towards the highway leading to Royal pearls but on the way, something terrible happened which almost made me loose hope. In life you have to be extremely careful coz your closest friend might be used against you. This life is filled with different kinds of sharp objects which can pierce your skin and leave you deeply wounded…

On the way, I decided not to say a word but then the pastor started acting strange. He suddenly stopped the car by the roadside and stared at me.
“What’s the problem?” I inquired.
“We’re out of fuel,” he said.
I smiled coz I knew mom always had extra galon of fuel in her boot. “That’ not a problem,” I said and meant to open the car door but he unfastened his seat belt and held my hand, then also unfastened my seat belt.
“Are you alright?” I asked.

“Yes,” he replied smiling seductively and began touching my boobs.
“Stop this nonsense,” I shouted and pushed him away.
“Come on, don’t pretend like you don’t need this,” he kept smiling as he touhed my boobs again and began caressing my thighs…

SEASON THREE FINALLE

I was confused and didn’t know what to do, so I grabbed his d**k and soon he began screaming in pains coz the way I held him ehn…
“You will never be able to destroy us, no matter how hard you try, marine world will still exist,” a voice said behind me. I turned, lo and behold was the river goddess smiling at me. I quickly released the pastor, opened the car door and got out.
To my greatest dismay, I got out, only to find Prisca and the rest surrounding the car. Everywhere looked deserted and that was when I realised that nothing but thick forest surrounded us.
“We’re here, fight us,” Prisca smiled. I advanced towards her but the pastor came out of the car and stopped me.
“Go to back to the hospital, your mother needs you now more than ever,” he said.
Immediately I heard my mother, the thoughts of destroying the mermaid vanished from my head but how to get out of there became a problem. Then the river goddess came out of the car and walked towards me.
“Your mother’s life will be taken in place of you,” she said and touched me, then I quickly found myself infront of the hospital…

I quickly rushed inside and straight up to the ward I had left mom.
Inside the ward, I met the doctor, my auntie, uncle and Josh running around and trying to save mom. I ran up to her and held her hand. She was trembling.
“Becky,” she called out slowly. “I have misled you, pls forgive me,” she pleaded.
“I have forgiven you mom but you can’t die now,” I cried but mom just smiled and breath her last. I couldn’t believe it that mom died right
infront of me. I screamed the last thing I heard was hold her…

According to my auntie, I was in coma for a month and I could only talk after two months of coming out of coma with the help of a therapist.
A year later, I was taken out of Nigeria to complete my education and I later got married to David…

FAST FORWARD
:
I decided to pen down my experiences and that was how I met Noblequeen Nyong which led to my return to Nigeria.
I hope you all learnt a thing or two from my story. I was delivered but I still encounter nightmares and problems but
thanks to my husband who understands. The
pastor who destroyed the mermaids lost his life as well and I know they still exist but God isn’t asleep.
Never doubt the power of spirituality and always be prayerful. Pls y’all should always put me in your daily prayers and ask God to strengthen me…
