"UNHEALED"

Harmony sat beside Evelyn, his face an artwork of sobriety and
introspection.
Evelyn reached over, holding his hands firmly in hers,
her eyes closed as she prayed quietly, her voice carrying a steady
strength.
Harmony closed his own eyes...
"Lord, please have Mercy on me, Lord give Tomike the heart to move
on in Jesus name."
***
In the stillness of their living room, Ade sat on the floor his headbowed in prayer. His hands rested on his knees. He was praying for
Tomike, he heard Harmony entering the compound earlier and just
some minutes ago, Mrs Evelyn entered as well. He wondered why she
wasn’t back yet. A message notification popped on his phone. Helooked at it expecting it to be Tomike. Instant dissappointment
showed on his face, when he saw that it was message from Judith.
“Ade, it’s been 15 years hoping that someday, you will be mine. I have
been hanging on the thread of a prophesy, but it’s time to move on…:”
Ade dropped his phone, he was happy Judith too had found closure.
***
Judith sat in her car in the dark. A knock on her window brought herback to consciousness. It was Abel.
“Hey Judith, what’s up? Are you mot going home? Are you waiting for
someone? Ade has left .” Abel said a lot in a few seconds
“It’s over! The waiting! I am done! 15 years… I just sent a message toAde telling him, I can’t wait for the prophesy anymore. I am moving
on”
Abel bent his head and smiled...
“That means my wait too is over! "
Judith was confused!
“What wait?” She asked
“You!”
Judith looked at Abel closely for the first time deeply and she saw itfor the first time, the veil fell off her face…
Abel was the man under
her nose…

Back in the quiet church, Tomike slowly made her way to the door, her body heavy with exhaustion but her spirit lighter than it had been
in years. She stepped out into the night, taking a deep breath as ifinhaling freedom itself. She walked to her car, her mind and heart
finally at peace. It was time to go home...
**
Ade heard the soft click of the front door opening, his heart racing.
Tomike walked in, her face tired, her eyes red and swollen fromcrying. She looked down at him, her gaze filled with remorse. She letout a choked sob, stepping forward and falling to the ground on her
knees… Ade,” she whispered, her voice breaking, “I am so sorry. I am sosorry for being so absent, for treating you so badly all these years. I
was a wife to my past rather than being your wife. Forgive me, Ade.Forgive me. I am sorry.”
Ade looked at Tomike for a little while...
He took a deep breath and pulled her closer, his arms wrappingaround her securely. His voice calm, filled with warmth and
understanding.
“The moment I asked you to be my wife, I forgave your past, present, and future offenses. Welcome back home, Tomike. Welcome.”
She buried her face in his chest, her sobs gradually fading as she held
onto him, finally allowing herself to be fully present, fully his.

Tomike saw herself at a T- junction, and she knew within herself sheought to take the right road, but the vehicle she was in took the leftroad and drove deeper into the left road. After a while, the Vehicledropped her off at a place that look like a desert. She began to sob, looking around. She started crying in regret. Ade was suddenlystanding by her and she was started eyeing him maliciously.
“Everything I ought to have if I took the other road is all lost” she said
regrettably.
“No! God can fix all things” A man said as he walked towards themwith servants carrying gift boxes…
“I can make deserts become a land flowing with milk and honey, if Iam invited. You may think the life you ought to have is not achievable
anymore, because you were unjustly driven away from it, but inyour new place, I can make it better than what you could havegotten in the other place. I make all things beautiful. You have invited
me into your new space, I am about to make all things beautiful.”

“READ MY WORD for you IN Isaiah 61:7” The Man said
*****
Tomike woke up from the dream and she knew exactly what thedream meant. Her life with Ade was going to be beautiful from thatday on, since she had healed and let God in.
She quickly picked up her Bible and read Isaiah 61;7….
“Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, andinstead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you
will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will beyours.”

One Month Later
A month had passed. Things had been quiet in the compound.
Tomike opened her door to find young Aviela standing there, her facebright and full of Joy.
“Aviela…” Tomike smiled, pleasantly surprised.
“Good day, ma.” Aviela greeted
“Good day to you, Aviela. How are you doing?” Tomike asked, hercuriosity pique.
" Very well, ma.”
Tomike chuckled softly, her heart warmed by the girl’s polite manner.
“To what do I owe this visit?”
Aviela’s eyes sparkled as she lifted her hands, revealing a box.
“We’re finally moving,” she explained. “And during my devotion lastnight God told me to bring these to you.”
Tomike’s eyebrows raised, surprise and emotion welling up in herchest as she opened the box and her eyes met two pairs of socks.
“What are these for?”
“A gift,” Aviela said with a smile, her eyes filled with a quietconfidence.
“A gift from me to your first set of twins. I was hoping to
meet them and play with them when they arrive, but as it is, we are
moving, so I thought to give them an early gift.”
Tomike’s hand flew to her mouth, her eyes filling with tears. She felt ajoy like she hadn’t felt in years, and with a sob, she pulled Aviela into a tight hug. They stayed that way, Tomike clinging to the young girl astears fell freely.
“Thank you,” Tomike whispered, her voice filled with awe. “Thank
you so much.”
She dabbed at her tears, collecting herself.
"And it would be a great honour if you named the girl Aviela..." Aviela
said smiling
Tomike could only nod.
"Sure!" The tears flowed more...
"I have to go, my parents are waiting for me "
*****
Meanwhile, Harmony, Evelyn and Oliver are seated in the carwaiting… Dad, Mum, why do we have to move again? I love this place" Oliver
said. He still didn't understand why they had to move... Harmony
looked back…
"Oliver, sometimes movement is necessary for peacesake, some places can become toxic for us and moving out is the best
step to take".
Oliver was clearly not satisfied, he looked to his Mum.
"Oliver, we keep moving till we get to our place of rest. Remember our
morning devotion. The children of Israel kept moving until they got to
their promised land!"
That made sense to Oliver and he nodded in agreement.
"Thank you!" Harmony mouthed.
"There is something I have to do, while we wait for Aviela" Harmonysaid to Evelyn quietly.
"What?" She asked
Harmony brought out his phone and deleted Tomike's contact.
" There are some bridges that should be burnt." Harmony said.
Evelyn nodded in understanding as Aviela joined them in the car.
"Off to our new home." Harmony said..
***
11 months Later...
Tomike and Ade welcomed their set of twins; A Girl and A boy.
Tomike honoured Aviela's wish by naming the girl Aviela…
3 years Later…
Tomike And Ade welcomed their second set of twins.
DEAR READER, BEFORE YOU DROP THIS NOVEL, the scripturebelow summarizes this story and you should ruminate on it…
“Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion,
and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your
inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in
your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.” Isaiah
61:7
Even though Tomike didn't end up marrying Harmony, the Lord gave
her my own Aviela and lots more while married to Ade. Ade became her land, her place and when she let God heal her wounds, She got a
life better than what she would have had with Harmony.
I do not know which area of your life you have been wounded,
shamed, disgraced, cheated, God has a word for you, Let Go and Let
Him. For your wounds, disgrace, demotion, betrayal, neglect,
heartbreak, criticism, stagnancy, retrogression, God Almighty is
giving you a double portion of the joy you ought to have in the very
place where the enemy thought they had relegated you to.
I pray for you that for your loss, pain, regret, receive DOUBLE JOY
in JESUS NAME.
