“I said where is the cleaner!!!”. Martha fired again at the doctor.

Mrs Smith appeared before them.

. She walked to meet Martha and blinked cluelessly at her. “You called for me ma”.

“My son….I can’t find him”.

Mrs Smith rushed into the ward and checked the nook and crannies. “Where on earth could he be?” She asked breathlessly. “I did not see him step out of this ward”. She touched the doctor. “Please let us check other wards if he had sneaked in there or something.

Collins Morgan held her chin. “What on earth is happening! Can you tell me what is happening!!!”.

“My son was a drug addict and I knew that if you found out, you were going to give the company to your step son so I….”.

He slapped her so hard and fumed. “….because of us, you nearly ruined the life of someone else! You made that innocent man cause his family grief all because you wanted to protect material things! Now, we cannot even find out son!”.

“I will find him! I will find our son! I must find our son! I don’t care about anything but Raymond is the only thing I have in this world!”.

“The young man you had used to replace Raymond was the only thing someone else had too. Did you even consider that? No wonder the poor call the rich selfish”.

The doctor and Mrs Smith returned, breathing heavily. “You both need to see this”. They muttered.

Collins and Martha rushed out to see what they were talking about.

It was a burnt car that was parked Infront of the hospital and the fire brigade team had quenched the fire but ond of the fire men was holding something.

It was the pendant that Martha had given her son and also his identity card. “We found this in the burning car”.

He opened his eyes and looked around the dark room.

It was so dark that he had to squint.

“Where am I?anybody here?”.

Mrs Smith kicked the door open and walked in. “Welcome Raymond Morgan”. She smiled and sat beside him right there on the bed.

“What am I doing here?”

“Your mother did not want your father to see you so she told me to bring you here”.

“See me?”.

“Yes, he came to the ward….your father. He had tracked your mother to the hospital so she told me to bring you down here before he sees you”. She said softly.

“But why is my mother still hiding me from my father when I am perfectly fine?”.

“She does not know that you are fine”.

He rose to his feet. “I have to make that woman realize that I am a man. She cannot keep taming me like a teenage girl”.

“You are going nowhere Raymond Morgan!!!”.

“Says who???”.

“Says me! You are going nowhere!!!”. She fired at him and locked the door.

Her phone rang immediately she got out of the room.

It was her daughter calling her with her Nigerian number.

Was she in Nigeria already?

She immediately connected the line. “My princess, you are in Nigeria already?”.

“Mother, where is Raymond Morgan?”.

She was surprised that her daughter was asking her that outrightly.

“I thought they said…..”.

“It is not about what they said…it is about what you did. Ray trusted you and changed because you twirled his heart. Release him right now mother. I understand the motherhood anger you may be feeling right now but you have to release him”.

“No! His mother made you suffer grief for no reason!”.

“Ray’s pregnant girlfriend went unconscious immediately she heard the fake news about the father of her child. She is in the hospital right now as we speak because of your actions. Release the real Raymond Morgan”.

They held hands and pulled their suitcase along as they walked out of the airport.

Tyler’s friend had come to pick them up at the airport.

They were driven to their new house on the island in Nigeria which Tyler had purchased from his hard earned savings that Naomi had not even known about while he was away because he had not gotten the opportunity to tell her.

Tears filled her eyes as they walked into their new house.

It felt like a dream come through.

He carried her in his arms into their matrimonial room.

Raymond held his child in his arms.

The shock of his feigned death had made his girlfriend give birth to their babyboy prematurely.

His parents stood behind them right there in the ward.

Vanessa excitedly kissed her boyfriend. “Thank you so much for staying alive”.

“Raymond, you still don’t want to tell us who kidnapped you and feigned your death?”. Mr Morgan snarled.

He rose to his feet and glared at his father. “Of what use will telling you that be to my life right now? Tell me! Of what use! I was a weak son and you never believed in me because I was not as strong as my peers! I strived each day to be better but I could not just be as fast as your pace. Since I could not keep up with your fast pace, I went into depression. Because of depression, I had to take this hard drug to keep my mind off reality. Reality that I could not keep up to my father’s pace!”. He turned to his mother. “Were you that desperate for material things that you had to risk the life of a newly married couple? Because of that useless company, my life was ruined! For your information, I hereby disown you both as my parents. I already arranged my Australian visa with my girlfriend. We will get married far away”.

“What will happen to Corncells?”. Martha cried out.

“Your husband should give it to my step brother”.

With that, they walked out of their lives….

Forever…

Mrs Smith sat before the ocean and watched her daughter and son in law struggle through the waves excitedly.

Her daughter was happy again.

Tears filled her eyes as she recalled the first day that the explosion story had gotten to her daughter.

She had thought she would loose her daughter that day.

Her daughter had never cried like that before.

As a mother, she had felt every single pain.

She began to write on the notepad about a woman that had attacked the first person that had encouraged her in life…

Raymond Morgan.

Raymond had trusted her and encouraged her to be a writer even despite her age.

……she had kidnapped him while using his trust against him.

It was the story of her life that she had to write again…

The story of her daughter….

The story of her encourager….Raymond Morgan who had kept the secret that she was the one that kidnapped him from his parents just to save her even till that moment.

Tears filled her eyes.

She had been so swallowed up in emotions that she had allowed it to affect people that trusted and believed in her.

She began to write on her notepad…

…In a country that had no hope, there arose two men of the same facial features but different personality….

Writers are the most emotional people because they always write to teach themselves too.

Her emotions had made her loose a loyal friend.
